Hormone Healthy Chocolate Avocado Pudding

Can you really eat your way to a better mood?

The research says yes!

And foods rich in magnesium can help!

Magnesium is a cofactor in more than 300 reactions in your body! meaning it helps with everything from converting the food you eat into energy and supporting healthy sleep, to optimizing neurotransmitter function for fewer symptoms of anxiety and depression!

In addition to being a great source of magnesium, avocados are also an incredible source of fiber, folic acid, and healthy fats.

This hormone healthy avocado chocolate pudding features magnesium rich avocado, cacao, and chia seeds! And it’s got some serious stress busting benefits from functional mushrooms too!

Reishi mushroom, aka: the “mushroom of immortality,” is one of my all-time favorites for stressed out mamas. It helps to support your adrenal system, is a potent immune booster and it pairs beautifully with chocolate. . . what’s not to love 🤍

I love using the master blend by Om mushrooms because it’s supercharged with 2g of mushrooms, 21g of plant-based protein and 3 botanical adaptogens.

Speaking of chocolate, raw cacao is another serious superfood!

It’s revered by ancient cultures as the food of the gods, and research has linked the antioxidants in cacao to everything from improved brain function and longevity to supporting a healthy cardiovascular system.⁣ In its raw state, it has more than 300 (!!!) chemical compounds making it one of the richest sources of antioxidants of any food on earth.

Ok do you need any more reasons to make this pudding asap?

AVOCADO PUDDING ⁣

  • 2 ripe avocados (chilled) ⁣

  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder (i love om mushrooms)

  • 2 T raw cacao powder ⁣

  • 1/2 ripe banana (or 2 T maple syrup) ⁣

  • 1 T chia seeds ⁣(optional)

  • 1/4c almond or coconut milk

  • Coco whip (optional for topping, and a cherry if you’re feeling fancy)

DIRECTIONS

Place all of your ingredients into the bowl of a food processor. Blend until smooth, adding more plant milk as needed. Top with coco whip if using and enjoy!

There are a million different ways to make avocado pudding but this is my very favorite. And I know it’s called chocolate pudding, but I definitely wouldn’t judge if you ate it for breakfast. I mean if you add a piece of bread, it’s basically avocado toast right?!
